Safe & Humane Bat Removal and Control Solutions

Bats play an important role in the ecosystem, but when they enter your home, they can quickly become a serious problem. Not only do bats create noise and unpleasant odors, but their droppings (guano) can carry harmful fungi and bacteria that pose health risks to your family. Over time, guano build-up can also damage insulation, drywall, and wood structures, leading to costly repairs if left untreated. That’s why it’s so important to act quickly at the first sign of a bat infestation.

Regional Wildlife Services provides humane bat assessment and exclusion in Burlington, Oakville, Niagara and surrounding areas. We look for signs of activity and likely entry points, then explain whether exclusion can be performed safely at that time of year. One-way devices are used only when seasonal conditions allow bats to leave without trapping adults or flightless young.

After the assessment, we identify likely access points and explain the exclusion and sealing plan. Cleanup or insulation work is recommended only where conditions warrant it and is scoped separately. The objective is to prevent re-entry while preserving safe exit routes during the appropriate season.

Bat exclusion is seasonal. In Ontario, one-way exclusions are generally suited to spring before pups are born and late summer through fall after young bats can fly.
